Epic pass vs Ikon Pass

When you are looking to purchase a season pass for the upcoming season you will likely have to decide between the Epic pass and Ikon Pass. In a perfect world, these passes would not exist, and Vail Resorts and the Altera Mountain Company would not own nearly all of the popular resorts. But unfortunately, it's the world we live in. So when you have to decide I find there are just a few important factors. The first thing to look at is what resorts are near you and which pass are they on. The second thing to consider is what pass are your skiing buddies getting. The final question to ask is if you plan to travel to ski consider the pass that gives you access where you are traveling.

Now this is not a black and white decision, one pass is not better than the other so be diligent and consider all possibilities before deciding to go with one pass or another.
